  • Perform Service-related tasks on our behalf
  • Analyse how our Service is used

These third-party Service Providers only have access to your Personal Data to perform their duties.

They are required not to disclose or use it for any other purpose.

Calendar API Usage

We use calendar APIs, including Google Calendar API and Microsoft Calendar API, solely to manage scheduling and calendar events for our users and individuals who book appointments through our Service.

Information accessed through these calendar APIs is used strictly for scheduling functionality.

We do not store or use calendar data for any other purposes.

Access is limited to the specific functionality required to facilitate scheduling and appointment management as described in this Privacy Policy.

We use Google API Services for our Services.

You can view Google’s User Data Policy here: https://developers.google.com/terms/api-services-user-data-policy.

Google User Data Disclosure

When you connect your Google account to SalesCal via OAuth 2.0, the sections below describe exactly what we access, how we use it, how we store it, and how you can revoke access at any time.

What Google Data We Access

We request access to the following scopes:

Google Calendar - Read Access

Scope: calendar.readonly

We read your Google Calendar events, including:

  • Event times
  • Dates
  • Durations

Google Calendar - Event Management

Scope: calendar.events

We create, read, and modify calendar events on your primary Google Calendar.

We do not access:

  • Gmail
  • Google Contacts
  • Google Drive
  • Any other Google services

How We Use Your Google Data

We use Google Calendar data strictly for scheduling purposes.

Availability Checking

When a prospect selects a date to book a call with you, we read your Google Calendar events for that date range to detect scheduling conflicts.

This ensures that time slots overlapping with your existing calendar events are not offered for booking.

We check event start and end times only.

We do not read, store, or display the following event content to prospects:

  • Event titles
  • Event descriptions
  • Attendees
  • Other event content

Calendar Event Creation

When a prospect confirms a booking, we create a calendar event on your Google Calendar.

This event may contain:

  • Meeting title
  • Time
  • Duration
  • Brief description
  • Prospect’s email address as an attendee

If you have selected Google Meet as your meeting location, we also generate a Google Meet conference link as part of the calendar event.

Calendar Event Notifications

When a calendar event is created, Google Calendar’s built-in notification system may send an invitation to the attendee.

This is controlled by Google’s standard calendar behaviour.

How We Store Your Google Data

OAuth Tokens

We store your Google OAuth access token and refresh token in our database.

Our database is hosted on Supabase, which uses AWS infrastructure.

These tokens are used solely to make authorised API calls to Google Calendar on your behalf.

Token Expiry

We store the expiry timestamp of your access token so we can proactively refresh it before it expires.

This helps ensure uninterrupted service.

Calendar Event Data

We do not permanently store the content of your Google Calendar events.

Event data is fetched in real time during the availability checking process and is not written to our database.

The only calendar-related data we store is the Google Calendar Event ID for events we create, so that we can reference the booking in your calendar.

How We Share Your Google Data

We do not sell, rent, or trade your Google user data to any third party.

We do not use your Google user data for:

  • Advertising
  • Marketing profiling
  • Any purpose unrelated to the scheduling functionality described above

We do not share your Google Calendar event content with prospects.

Prospects only see which time slots are available or unavailable. They cannot see the details of your existing calendar events.

Your Google OAuth tokens are never exposed to:

  • Client-side code
  • Other users
  • Third-party services

All Google API calls are made server-side through our secure edge functions.

Data Retention and Deletion

OAuth Tokens

Your Google OAuth tokens are retained for as long as your Google Calendar integration is active.

When you disconnect Google Calendar from SalesCal via Settings > Integrations, your access token, refresh token, and token expiry are immediately deleted from our database.

Created Calendar Events

Calendar events created by SalesCal on your Google Calendar remain on your calendar and are governed by your Google account settings.

You can delete them directly from Google Calendar at any time.

Account Deletion

If you delete your SalesCal account, all associated Google OAuth tokens and stored data are permanently deleted.

Limiting Our Use of Google Data

SalesCal’s use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

Specifically:

  • We only use Google user data to provide and improve the scheduling features described in this Privacy Policy.
  • We do not transfer Google user data to third parties except as necessary to provide the Service, such as infrastructure hosting, as required by law, or with your explicit consent.
  • We do not use Google user data for serving advertisements.
  • Humans do not read your Google user data unless you have given explicit consent for a specific support inquiry, it is necessary for security purposes, or it is required by law.

Revoking Access

You can revoke SalesCal’s access to your Google account at any time by:

  • Disconnecting Google Calendar within SalesCal via Settings > Integrations > Disconnect
  • Removing SalesCal from your Google Account permissions at myaccount.google.com/permissions

Either method will stop SalesCal from accessing your Google Calendar data.

Analytics

We may use third-party Service Providers to monitor and analyse use of our Service.

Payments

We may offer paid products and/or services through our Service.

In such cases, we use third-party payment processing services, such as payment processors.

We do not store or collect your payment card details.

Payment information is provided directly to our third-party payment processors.

Their use of your personal information is governed by their own Privacy Policy.

These payment processors comply with standards established by the PCI Security Standards Council’s Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI-DSS).

PCI-DSS requirements help ensure the secure handling of payment information.
